5 Travel Websites for Planning Itinerary

These sites are designed to help to build itinerary for your next vacation

1.      TripIt

Tripit is probably the most popular trip itinerary building website.  They have detailed scheduling functionality and a nifty feature which allows you to forward confirmation emails to them – very handy for business users. Unfortunately, if you don’t already know what you want to do when you get there, Tripit isn’t the site for you.

2.      Itineree

Itineree is the website built for planning your trip.  Without leaving the site, you can add transportation, lodging, sights, and food from partners like TripAdvisor, AirBnb, FourSquare, Yelp, and 10+ others to your trip. It’s very easy to use.

3.      Tripomatic

Tripomatic is a great travel-planning app that uses a map to explore locations.  They use their own database of tourist attractions, which means that there is a limit to the number of cities (about 1500) and sights you can add to your trip.  They have a mobile app, and you can upgrade to premium to view your trip on an offline map.

4.      TripHobo

TripHobo is an itinerary-building website that even plans your trip for you.  Enter the city and number of days, and it will tell you what it thinks you want to do in that city (hopefully you like what it chooses!).  After that, you can edit and add things to do to your trip. Alternatively, you can try Utrip. Utrip is a lot like TripHobo, but it also lets you pick what kind of vacation you want – (i.e. “sporty” or “luxury”) and other things like budget. Unfortunately, Utrip is very limited in the number of destinations you can plan a trip to.

5.      Roadtrippers

Roadtrippers is for you if your vacation is going to be a road trip – just like EzRoadTrips.  They’ll chart your path and show you awesome things to do, places to stay, and everything else along the way.
