1.      El Nido, Palawan

According to CNNGo, the travel news website of CNN, El Nido in Palawan is one of the Philippines’ best beaches and island destinations because of its “extraordinary natural splendor and ecosystem.” It is frequently called the Philippines’ last frontier and is ranked No. 14 among the CNN’s Top 100 Most Beautiful Beaches in the World. For 2 years in a row (2016 and 2017), Palawan bagged the #1 spot for the “best island in the world” according to the international travel magazine Travel + Leisure. Conde Nast Traveller also listed El Nido as the 4th best beach in the world for 2017.

2.      Bantayan, Cebu

Looking for the most beautiful beach in Cebu? Head to Bantayan Island found off the northernmost tip of the mainland. Here, you can enjoy white sand beaches and calm aqua blue waters that are among the most picturesque not only in Cebu but in the Philippines. Because of the long journey from the nearest airport, Bantayan is without crowds most times of the year. So, it’s easy to find a peaceful spot along its long sandy shores. Cost of living is also not expensive on the island. You can expect many great-value resorts and cheap seafood.

3.      Gumasa Beach, Sarangani

Gumasa Beach in Glan, Sarangani Province is among the most beautiful white sand beaches in mainland Mindanao. This beach is easily reached after a 1-hour land trip from General Santos. During Sarbay Fest, its long powdery fine sandy stretch beach is filled with party crowds. At most times of the year, peaceful moments can easily be enjoyed here.

4.      Calaguas, Camarines Norte

The long stretch of white sand and palm fringed beaches is truly the picture of paradise! From Manila, you can take a 7-8 hour bus ride from Cubao/Pasay bus station to Daet. From there, you can catch a ride to Vinzons towards Pandawan fish port. Here, there is a daily boat that leaves at 11 AM. Alternatively, you can also charter a boat to take you to the islands. Other bus routes are from Manila to Paracale where you can also charter a boat to take you to Calaguas Islands (P2500-3500) for a boat for 6 people.

5.      Palaui Island, Cagayan Valley

CNN, which put Palaui Island in the top ten on its list of the world’s most beautiful beaches, describes it as a raw beauty where nature unfolds with flora and fauna, volcanic rocks, powdery white sands, and rich marine biodiversity.
